Brendan was born and raised in Pittsburgh, learned to make furniture in Santa Fe, and studied furniture design in Minneapolis. Currently living in Taos, he believes the craft process embeds both a human and material narrative within things, making them not only useful to us but more importantly meaningful to us as well.

Brendan has a BFA in Furniture Design from Minneapolis College of Art and Design and an AA in Professional Crafts from Santa Fe Community College. He was recognized as a 2019 Windgate-Lamar Fellow with the Center for Craft, and has received support from CERF+, Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, and the Minnesota State Arts Board.
